I’m not going to take it anymore …

Over the last few days I’ve been mad … actually that’s not
true, I’ve been pissed off.

I let the comments of a few whiners get to me and it really
put me in a sour mood. Here’s why …

I offered a discount to Email Aces a few days ago, and four
people who signed up, quit the service less than 10 minutes
after they signed up.

I’m not mad that they left the service, that happens, but
what really got to me was how they did it. I thought the
comments I got were simply uncalled for …. until I finally
thought about it tonight.

One of them was uncalled for, and I’m going to let that
one slide, but the other three are the ones that got me
thinking.

They were just a few sentences each, but they all said
basically the same thing.

“I don’t know how to do this”.

Here’s what bothered me about that. At first I thought
they were slamming my service, saying it was too hard
to use, and I did a poor job in setting things up …. but
that wasn’t it at all.

Then I looked at the documentation to see if I missed
something that should have been there … that wasn’t
a problem either.

After talking to a guy I met recently in Orlando, a smart
guy named Fred Engh ( watch for him this year ), he got
me to see the real problem.

When I talked to Fred last night he said, “Don’t you have
a ton of happy customers at Email Aces? People who have
been using the service for over a year now?” … that got
me thinking.

The problem wasn’t my service, and it wasn’t the support
documentation, it was the fact that these quitters were too
lazy to learn.

These people didn’t know how to use an autoresponder,
and rather than trying to learn, they gave up in under 10
minutes time.

That bothers me.

I will bend over backwards to help someone out, and make
sure they know how to do things … if they ask that is.

What I realized is that there are a lot of people out there
who need help learning this stuff, but I guess they’re too
scared to ask.

You know what? I’m not going to make you ask.

Sometime next week I’m going to run a free teleseminar for
anyone who wants to call in. It’s just going to be me on the
line, and I’ll answer any question you have about anything
you can throw at me.

No, I don’t know it all, and if I don’t have an answer I won’t
just make something up, but I’m going to do my best to help
anyone who wants it.

So, it’s decision time. If you want to make 2005 your best
year ever I’m going to help you do it.

If you want to be notified of when I’m going to run this
free teleseminar just send an email to my autoresponder
at blog@learn.emailaces.com and I’ll send you the info.

No selling, no games, no hype, just me on the line with
anyone who wants help answering every question that
I possibly can.

I’m sick and tired of whiners and complainers who aren’t
willing to step up, learn something, and really turn a profit
this year …

It’s decision time … are you going to keep wondering how
to do it, and keep whining that you aren’t making any cash
online, or are you willing to grab my hand and let me help
you make 2005 your most profitable year ever.

Sick and tired of whiners and complainers …

I’m going to use this blog as my outlet from time to time, to blow off a little steam …

A few days ago I offered a discount to our autoresponder at Email Aces and we had a few people take us up on it.

We had a few people sign up, and start using the system right away, and a few who dove right in and gave up even faster.

It’s too hard.

I don’t understand.

It’s confusing.

Those are the types of things the people who cancelled said … and they said them after trying for a whole 5 minutes.

Honestly, one person signed up, logged in, and cancelled in under 5 minutes.

All I could think is … Wow, you tried it for a whole 5 minutes and gave up, what a whiner.

I have no doubt that this person is never going to make it online. They just don’t have what it takes.

If you give up on everything you don’t instantly understand, why bother trying anything?

I know this is probably not the motivational post that some of you expected to see here on my blog, but you’re going to get it all here … the good .. the bad … and the ugly.

It takes time to learn new things, more than 5 minutes, and if you’re not willing to put in the time to learn new things, you should get out of the dream world you’re living in right now and find a $6.00 an hour job washing dishes somewhere …

Wait … maybe not, there’s a chance that the dishwashing machine might have more than two buttons so you better not do that either … it might be too hard for you too ;-)

I know this kind of stuff shouldn’t still get to me after almost 7 years of working online, but it does.

I’m tired of the whiners and complainers brining down the entire industry … claiming it can’t be done, that there isn’t any money to be made online.

The truth of the matter is that some people can’t do it, not because it can’t be done, but because they give up too quickly, blame everyone but themselves, and then whine about it to anyone who will listen.
