I’m Conflicted About Butterfly & The Bonus …

Hello again,
Today, a good friend of mine is doing something that I don’t necessarily agree with … but I’m going to support him anyway …
And actually, my supporting this friend ends up being a great opportunity for you …
Don’t worry if this isn’t making sense yet, I’ll explain … but you’ll have to read on.

What’s he doing?
And why don’t I agree with him?
Well, that’s complicated, and I really can’t give you the full explanation in a blog post … but I’ll give you the short version.
There are certain things that are constants when it comes to branding… which include things you should do, and things that you shouldn’t, even if they’re extremely tempting …
I’m not talking about unethical things here, I’m talking about protecting the long term value of a brand …
My good friend, Mike Filsaime created a “premium” brand with his Butterfly Marketing course, and I think that when you have a “premium” brand, it’s in your best interest to protect its value …
In general, people are willing to pay more for a “premium” brand than others … even if what you are getting is similar to the non-premium.
A great example would be watches …
People are willing to pay for the “brand”, based on a number of factors. But, that’s too much for this post … so on we go.
Now, Mike has a “premium” brand, and he built it on quality. That’s a strong brand foundation …
Actually, that’s the strongest foundation that a “premium” brand can be built on …
So, from a marketing perspective, I see what he’s doing as potentially very harmful to his Butterfly Marketing brand …
What’s he doing?
Well … rather than taking advantage of what he did in the past, and using that “premium” status to qualify higher prices … he’s doing just the opposite.
He’s not using his “premium” brand status to up his prices, he’s committing branding suicide by dropping them.
If you were a consulting client of mine, I would never recommend you do this, but ….
It’s too late, he’s made the decision, and I can not stop him.
Honestly, I’m very conflicted about posting this to my blog …
I hate the fact that I’m potentially contributing to the demise of a “premium” brand that a friend worked so hard to create … but at the same time I can’t let you miss this.
This strange move on his part could be great for you … this could be your opportunity to get his “premium” information, at a bargain price …
It’s like your putting yourself behind the wheel of a Mercedes Benz … at a Honda Civic price.

And, just to dispell any rumors, the full version of Mike’s course IS selling at $1497 … I myself just sold one at full price yesterday.
So … if it’s still selling at full price, why’s Mike doing this?
He has a strategy, of course, but it’s too risky in my opinion … and I think it’s a mistake.
But .. as I said, it’s done.
That being the case, you need to take advantage of this opportunity. The information in the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript is amazing … it is actuallybased on a lot of the strategies I used myself.
Alright … this email is getting long, so here is the bottom line.
Mike has priced his Butterfly Marketing Manuscript way too low, and I don’t think that price is going to last.
Since he’s made the decision … I’m supporting it and have put together a “true” bonus. My bonus was designed to enhance your learning, and give you an almost unfair advantage.
